HYLA History

How an idea became a global brand.

1990 to today

An invention born out of necessity: the daughter of graduate engineer Doro Erjavec (co-founder of HYLA) suffered from a house dust allergy that worsened with every dry floor cleaning. After intensive technical experiments and many tests, the device went into series production in 1992 and was an instant success.

The engineers Doro Erjavec and Janez Pogacar gave the HYLA air and room cleaning system its name. They developed the first prototype in 1990.

Today, HYLA International is successful with its unique products in more than 80 countries around the world.
